The campsite opens up the swimmingpool every wednesday evening, so everybody can swim at night.

Campinglife

A nice day on the campsite. It looked so cosey when I was walking around, that I decided to make some pictures of how a day at the campsite in our street looks like. People cooking, reading, sleeping, playing, washing up.

The 'bird' mystery

Maybe you remember that we were puzzled by the noise of a bird on the campsite. Now we finally have the answer: it is NOT a bird, but a kind of 'frog'. In Dutch it is called the Vroedmeesterpad

Cinqueterre

And when the rain begins to fall..............

I almost forgot already, but with the heavy rain a few weeks ago Stef and I went to get some small stones to 'pave' the entry of our field, so that we would not end up again with a mud pool through which all the guests had to go to their tents. Not very clever, we found out. We did the job that well, that indeed there was no mud pool anymore, but........ the water went like a river straight to and into tent nr. 1, the tent occupied by Jos and Marjon. Jos sent me some pictures, so I also want to share them with all of you.

How an arrivalday looks like when you work for VS

One of our guests followed us, while we were preparing some tents for new arrivals. It gives a perfect picture how our almost daily work looks like. Thanks Jeroen :)

The botanic Garden of Hanbury

The botanical garden of Hanbury is situated on a rock of Capo Mortola, a few kilometres from the French border. It is about 18 hectare, 9 hectare can be visited by the public. In 1867 Thomas Hanbury bought the old palace Orengo and the surrounding ground, which he transformed into the garden with exotic plants.
